Form AR-11 is for filing a change of address with the United States Citizenship and Immigration Services for foreign nationals who are in the United States.
Form AR-11, officially the Alien’s Change of Address Card, is a U.S. Citizenship and Immigration Service (USCIS) form used by non-U.S. citizens to report a change of address within 10 days of the change. This requirement applies to all non-U.S. citizens who intend to stay in the United States for more than 30 days.
Form AR-11 does not require a fee, only basic information such as your name, country of citizenship, birth date, old and new addresses, alien number if you have one, and your signature.
Updating your address will ensure that you receive all correspondence and benefits in a timely manner and avoid possible delays. Failure to report a change of address is punishable by a fine up to $200 or 30 days imprisonment and/or removal. You won’t be able to obtain a future visa or other immigration benefits.
If you have non-citizen dependents, you’ll need to file a separate form for each member of your household.
Filling out the Form AR-11 is simple and only demands that you pay close attention to detail. In any case, you should not have trouble using it, as it has clear instructions on how to input all the required information. It has 3 parts: Information about You, Information about Your address, and Signature.

Change of Address
1344 Pleasants Drive
Harrisonburg, VA 22801
If you send the Form AR-11 by mail, you should keep a proof of mail receipt.
Instead of going to every agency and filling out the address change form, you can fill out Form AR-11 online. Use your existing USCIS online account if you filed your form online before. Filing Form AR-11 online will update your address on all pending applications, petitions, or requests that you include on the form.
If you file Form AR-11 online, you will receive an immediate confirmation and you should keep this confirmation for your records. It takes about 5 minutes to complete and you should receive mail confirmation of your address change within 15 days.
If you have already updated your address online, you do not need to mail it anymore.
If you are a religious worker, make sure to file a Form AR-11 in a timely manner to report a change of address so that immigration officers who perform site visits go to the correct location.
If there is a negative site visit report, USCIS adjudicators can revoke an approved petition or deny a pending petition.
If you have a naturalization interview scheduled, you should still update USCIS within 10 days of changing your address so that further correspondence will be sent to your current address.
If you have moved out of the country, you should still let USCIS know within 10 days of moving and contact the National Visa Center.
If you are moving from one temporary address to another, you still have to update USCIS within 10 days even if you are moving from one temporary address to another. If you have no address, you should update USCIS as soon as you have an address, even if it’s just a temporary one.
If you’re a victim of domestic violence, trafficking, or previously filed any of the forms listed below, you must mail your Form AR-11 to:
