Class Code A:

For use in connection with matters of a motor vehicle or driver safety and theft; motor vehicle emissions; motor vehicle product alterations, recalls, or advisories; performance monitoring of motor vehicles, motor vehicle parts and dealers, motor vehicle market research activities, including survey research; and removal of non-owner records from the original owner records of motor vehicle manufacturers;
Class Code E:
For use in the normal course of business by a legitimate business or its agents, employees, or contractors, but only for the following reasons:
- to verify the accuracy of personal information submitted by the individual to the business or its agents, employees, or contractors, and;
- if the information submitted is not correct or is no longer correct, to obtain the correct information. However, it should only be done to prevent fraud by, pursue legal remedies against, or recovering on a debt security interest against, the individual;
Class Code F:
For use in connection with any civil, criminal, administrative, or arbitral proceeding in any court or government agency or before any self-regulatory body. This includes the service of process, investigation in anticipation of litigation, and the execution of enforcement of judgment and orders, or under an order of the court;
Class Code J:
For use in research activities, and for producing statistical reports, given that the personal information is not published, redisclosed, or used to contact the individuals, and with the express consent of the individual owner whose personal information is subject to be released;
Class Code H:
For use by any insurer or insurance support organization, or by a self-insured entity, including its agents, employees, or contractors. As long as it is in connection with claims investigation activities, anti-fraud activities, rating or underwriting;
Class Code I:
For use in providing notice to the owners whose vehicles are towed, impounded, unclaimed, and abandoned;
Class Code J:
For use by any licensed private investigative agency or licensed security service for any purpose permitted under this section. Provided that the requestor agency must furnish a copy of their business license. They should be able to provide an additional class code to qualify;
Class Code K:
For use in connection with the operation of private toll transportation facilities;
Class Code L:
For any other use specifically authorized by law that is related to the operation of a motor vehicle or public safety.
